Collingwood has made two changes to its team ahead of Friday night’s Round 2 clash against Footscray at the MCG.

As announced on Tuesday, 2023 premiership player Jordan De Goey will make his return to the line-up for his first game of the season. The midfielder has overcome knee bruising sustained in the pre-season.

Fellow premiership player Mason Cox will also play his first AFL match for 2025 after recovering from a finger fracture that interrupted his pre-season.

The American Pie replaces forward Brody Mihocek in the team, who will be sidelined for the Bulldogs clash due to general soreness.

Midfielder Lachie Sullivan has been omitted following 12 disposals and a goal against the Power and will be an emergency alongside defender Billy Frampton and midfielder Ed Allan.

The tactical substitute will be selected from the bench and will be named 60 minutes before the first bounce.

05:30

Veterans Scott Pendlebury and Steele Sidebottom will play in their 308th match as teammates, overtaking the League’s all-time record which has been held by Adelaide’s Andrew McLeod and Tyson Edwards since 2009.

Collingwood fans can watch the game live on Channel 7, Fox Sports and kayosports.com.au, with the first bounce at 7:40pm (AEDT).
