Collingwood has today welcomed winger Airlie Runnalls who has penned a two-year deal with the Club.

Runnalls arrives at Collingwood as part of a trade involving Fremantle in exchange for pick 45 in this year’s Telstra AFLW Draft.

Drafted to Fremantle with pick 44 during the 2021 NAB AFLW Draft, Runnalls will pull on the black and white stripes following 45 games in the purple and white.

The Yarrawonga Victorian local had a career-best season in 2024, averaging 14 disposals, totalling 32 marks, 45 tackles and 17 clearances.

Finals Week One against Essendon was arguably the 26-year-old's best game in 2024, totalling a season-high of 17 disposals and seven contested possessions, five tackles and kicking her fifth career goal.

Collingwood General Manager of Women’s Football Jess Burger welcomed Runnalls to the Club.

“We’re thrilled to have Airlie in the black and white, who will be joining the program in 2025 as we embark on our tenth AFLW campaign,” Burger said.

“Airlie will bring speed and outside run to our side, while also being a strong contested ball winner.

“She brings experience having already played 45 AFLW games, and it’s great to have her return home to Victoria.”

Collingwood currently has picks 1, 26, 55 in the 2024 Telstra AFLW Draft which will be held next Monday, December 16.
