Tall Charlotte Taylor will come in for her first game of the 2024 NAB AFLW season when she takes the field in Collingwood’s Week 4A clash with the West Coast Eagles on Tuesday night.

The 20-year-old has overcome a foot complaint that kept her on the sidelines throughout pre-season and the early stages of this year.

The clash with the Eagles will mark the fifth game of Taylor’s career, having made her debut in Round Five of Season Seven.

Eleri Morris also returns to Tuesday’s side, having been a late withdrawal from Friday’s game against Brisbane with illness.

Erica Fowler (omitted) and Brittany Bonnici (injured) are the pair that will miss the game against the eighth-placed Eagles.

Bonnici sustained a calf strain during the Pies’ Week Three game against Brisbane.

The Pies Vice-Captain is expected to be sidelined for two to three weeks.

Imogen Evans and Lauren Butler will both remain sidelined as they continue to recover from hamstring injuries. The pair are expected to return to play in two to three weeks.

The match-up with the Eagles will be only the third time the Pies have taken them on in the competition’s short history.

The Magpies won both of those matches in 2020 and 2022, by 27 and 24 points respectively.

While the Magpies are still on the hunt for their first win of the season, there have been some exciting signs from some Pies who will again be crucial on Tuesday.

First-year defender Lucy Cronin has excelled down back, holding All-Australian forward Dakota Davidson goalless in just her third game at AFLW level last week against the Lions.

Forward Grace Campbell has also been exceptional in the early stages of the year, recording 23 tackles over the past two games.

The IKON Park fixture is a home game for the Pies, with the Magpie Army encouraged to get down to support.

The first bounce is scheduled for 7:15pm AEST, while the match can be watched live on Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
