Collingwood young gun Nick Daicos has been presented with his second All Australian blazer at tonight’s AFL Awards.

Daicos was also presented with the 2024 AFL Coaches Champion Player Award.

This is the 21-year-old’s second selection in the All Australian side (2023).

As he continues to rise as one of the premier players in the league, Daicos currently sits in second across the league for most disposals (705) and is also ranked second in the competition for clearances (176).

The midfielder averaged an impressive 30 disposals this season and collected the most contested possessions (319), tackles (107), inside-50’s (127) and clearances for the Pies this season.

Collingwood Senior Coach Craig McRae congratulated Daicos on the achievement.

“Nick is such an important player for us and at only 21 years of age is setting high standards for our football program and reaping the individual and team rewards because of it,” McRae said.

“You don’t have to be a Collingwood person to admire the work and football skill of this young man.

“To be awarded his second All Australian blazer in only his third year in the game is a remarkable achievement.”

While unlucky not to make the final team, Darcy Cameron was rewarded for a standout season with selection in the 44-person squad.

Cameron played every game of the home-and-away season averaging 15 disposals and 30 hit outs per game.
