Collingwood’s AFLW Head of Wellbeing Kate Frazer has provided an injury update ahead of the Magpies’ 2024 AFLW Season Opener against the Sydney Swans on Friday night.

Brianna Davey is progressing well in her ankle recovery.
The midfielder will be tested throughout the week to determine her availability for Collingwood’s season opener against the Sydney Swans on Friday night.

Lauren Butler
Lauren Butler has been battling an achilles injury during the pre-season and has recently suffered a calf injury.
The defender is recovering well and is expected to return to the field in the next two to four weeks.
Kalinda Howarth
Kalinda Howarth is progressing well in her ACL rehab.
The forward, who arrived at Collingwood during the 2023 Sign and Trade Period, sustained an ACL injury whilst playing with the Gold Coast SUNS last season.
The 25-year-old will look to make a return to the field at the back end of the season (8-12 weeks).
Mikayla Hyde
Mikayla Hyde underwent a minor procedure on her foot a couple of weeks ago.
The 22-year-old is progressing well in her recovery but will need to tick some boxes in her rehab before she returns to play.
Charlotte Taylor
Charlotte Taylor has experienced some bone stress in her foot during the pre-season.
The defender is increasing her loads to return to full training and is expected to return to play within two to four weeks.
