Collingwood Senior Coach Craig McRae has named the Magpies’ side for Sunday’s Round 20 clash against Richmond at the MCG.
Mason Cox, Lachie Schultz, Harvey Harrison, Jack Bytel and Wil Parker have all come into the team, with Nathan Kreuger (concussion), Reef McInnes (omitted), Lachlan Sullivan (omitted), Oleg Markov (personal) and Joe Richards (omitted) making way.
The Magpies’ three emergencies for the clash are Billy Frampton, Lachlan Sullivan and Oleg Markov. The substitute will be selected from the extended bench and named 60 minutes prior to the first bounce.
Markov was named in the extended squad but will miss the clash due to the impending arrival of his first born with partner Becky.
Cox returns after missing the last seven games due to a concussion and a knee injury. The tall sustained both injuries in the Magpies’ Round 11 draw against Fremantle. The 211cm Cox will play his 125th AFL game and 12th of season 2024 in Sunday’s clash.
Schultz comes back into the side after missing last week’s clash against Hawthorn due to concussion. 26-year-old Schultz is the Magpies’ equal second leading goalkicker for the season and is averaging 3.8 tackles a game.
Harrison returns to the side after being managed for last week’s clash, while Bytel returns for his fourth game for the Club after spending time in the VFL.
