21-year-old forward Reef McInnes will return to the field for the first time in three weeks as the Pies head to Casey Fields on Sunday.

McInnes hasn't played since suffering concussion in Collingwood's Round 10 AFL win over Adelaide at the MCG.

His return is part of a five-strong crew of AFL-listed players being injected into this week's side, with Ash Johnson, Wil Parker, and SSP-selection Josh Eyre all coming into the team.

201-cm Ruck Ilaroo Smit will make his club debut, after being selected by Collingwood with pick 10 in the 2024 Mid Season Draft.

Eyre, who was listed in February, will play his first game of 2024 after recovering from a long-term hamstring injury that he got right on the eve of the selection period.

He will slot into a strong defence that has a myriad of young AFL-listed stars such as Jakob Ryan, Tew Jiath and Harry DeMattia. 

Johnson and Parker return having played at AFL level last week, and will boost the side significantly.

Parker has played five games at VFL level this season averaging 16 disposals and comes back after making his AFL debut a fortnight ago against Fremantle.

Luke Quaynor retains his place after making his VFL debut last week and impressing in defence, while Cooper Macdonald continues to grow his game in the backline. 

The Pies are searching for their third win of the season and take on a Casey side who have also won a pair of games for the year.
