Collingwood’s Jarryd Blair and Heath Shaw split the best on ground honours in last Friday’s win over Carlton with the pair polling nine votes each in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year voting.

Blair’s five-goal effort and Shaw’s 27 disposal and eight mark performance earned them each a maximum five votes from one head coach and four from the other.

Head coaches Mick Malthouse and Brett Ratten both thought Carlton’s Jeff Garlett was third best while Travis Cloke and Ben Johnson polled two votes each.

Chris Judd and teammate Michael Jamison received one vote each.

A look at the overall leaderbarod sees Dane Swan (17 votes - t-4th) and Chris Dawes (t-7th) featuring in the top 10.

Past winners of the prestigious award include Dane Swan (2010), Gary Ablett Jnr (2007-09), Simon Goodwin and Adam Goodes (joint winners in 2006), Barry Hall (2005) and Warren Tredrea (2004).
