Collingwood will be looking for its second win of the 2023 NAB AFLW season when they take on Essendon in Round Five on Saturday.
The game has been moved to Punt Road Oval as the MCG precinct goes into overdrive on AFL Grand Final Day, with the action kicking off from 11.05AM.
Pies fans both attending the AFL decider and just in the area enjoying the festivities are encouraged to support the team as they take on their traditional rivals in the Bombers.
The game will be broadcast live on Seven Mate from 11AM, as well as Kayo Sports and Fox Sports.
Last time they met
The inaugural meeting between the two sides in the AFLW was a close encounter as the Pies got over the line by 11 points. The Round Five clash just as it is this year was held during the weekend of the AFL Grand Final and it was two crucial goals from forward Eliza James that sealed the win. Mikala Cann was also important with 20 disposals, while Lauren Butler kicked a goal from her 16 touches.
Players to watch
Tarni White played her best game so far in the black and white on Sunday with two fantastic goals, while Brit Bonnici continued to star through the midfield. Toogood had 21 disposals and kicked two goals in their most recent game, while AFLW Best & Fairest Madison Prespakis is a consistent ball-winner.
