Collingwood will be looking to bounce back from last week’s loss to Gold Coast when they take on St Kilda at RSEA Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Pies went down by 12 points last Sunday in a close encounter and are aiming to square their ledger at 2-2 with a win over the Saints.

St Kilda are winless so far in 2023 so will be aiming to get their season underway in a game that will be crucial to both teams’ finals chances.

It will be only the second time Collingwood has played at RSEA Park.

Last time we met

Collingwood 36 d St Kilda 34

The Pies were wasteful, kicking just four goals to their 12 behinds, however they still managed to scrape across the line in a thrilling two-point win. Mikala Cann and Jaimee Lambert both recorded 21 disposals, while Jordyn Allen had 18 in one of her strong games as part of her Best & Fairest season. Joanna Lin was also crucial that day with a goal and nine tackles.

Players to watch

Ash Brazill had her strongest game of the year last week with 13 disposals and a goal, while leaders Brittany Bonnici and Brianna Davey were typically strong. Sarah Rowe collected 18 disposals in another important performance for the Pies. Former Magpie Jamiee Lambert will be one to watch after she gathered 16 disposals and kicked two goals in the Saints’ loss last Sunday. Both Lambert and Steph Chiocci will be playing their first games against Collingwood since switching clubs at the end of last season. The game will also be the first time Magpie Tarni White takes on her old side.
