Collingwood defender Darcy Moore says he and his teammates have pulled up well from the season opener against Geelong and are excited by the prospect of meeting Richmond under lights at the MCG on Thursday night.
Moore was among the Pies’ best players in the narrow loss to the Cats, and he was in the thick of the action when the boys had their main training session of the week at the Holden Centre on Wednesday.
“You obviously train for three or four months to be ready for the season, so still feeling pretty good,” he told Track Talk.
“It’ll be tough to back up on Thursday night, but once the ball’s bounced the boys will be ready to go.”

There are few bigger games in the AFL at present than when Collingwood takes on Richmond, and Moore is enjoying the build-up to the latest clash between the inner-city rivals.
“You can really feel that anticipation from the fans,” he said.
“It’s pretty exciting for the footy world to have both clubs doing pretty well … but for us, in many ways, it’s business as usual, and after this week we’ll be on to the next.
“So we won’t get too carried away with it, but it’s pretty cool that the crowd’s a bit louder and there’s a bit more anticipation. So it’s great.”
