The team for Collingwood’s Round Three NAB AFLW clash against Gold Coast has been confirmed.
Erica Fowler comes into the team for her second game of 2023, replacing Imogen Barnett (ankle).
Barnett will miss the clash due to an ankle fracture sustained in the Magpie’s Round Two victory over Fremantle. The tall will be sidelined for eight to 12 weeks as she recovers from the injury.
Sunday’s clash will mark Brittany Bonnici’s 50th AFLW game since making her debut in the inaugural AFLW match at Ikon Park, in Round One 2017. The foundation Magpie has averaged 16.5 disposals and 4.7 tackles a game and becomes the seventh player to reach 50 games in the black and white.
Bonnici has had a strong start to the 2023 season after missing over 550 days through an ACL injury. The midfielder amassed a career-best 11 tackles in Sunday’s Round Two win.
The clash will also mark the first time Collingwood has played Gold Coast in AFLW history, following the Suns joining the competition in 2020.
There will be plenty of activities on offer for the whole family at Victoria Park, including:
- VRGF badge making and giveaways
- Complimentary fruit from Coles
- Good Tides bar
- NAB activities
- Fan zone and face painting
- Collingwood merchandise and membership stalls
Tickets for the clash are on sale now.
