Voting for the Magpie Army Player of the Year Award is underway for 2015.

Collingwood Media looks at the performances of some of the players who were among the best in Sunday’s nail-biting loss to Richmond at the MCG.

Collingwood’s top performers

36. Dane Swan
Statistics: 14 kicks, 18 handballs, 32 disposals, 11 clearances, 3 tackles.
Swan’s 32-disposal performance marked the 100th time the 2011 Brownlow Medal winner has had 30-plus disposals in a game. Swan has played 243 games, meaning throughout his career he’s racked up 30 disposals 41 per cent of the time. His performance against the Tigers included two goals and a season-high 11 clearances. He jumped out of the blocks and was dominant from the outset with 21 touches in the first half.

32. Travis Cloke
Statistics: 12 kicks, 4 handballs, 16 disposals, 10 marks, 7 inside 50s, 3 goals.
While many expected the match-up of Alex Rance playing on Travis Cloke, Richmond threw a surprise into the mix and sent second-gamer Todd Elton in the direction of Collingwood’s power forward to begin the game. Cloke enjoyed the company of the inexperienced defender, kicking the first goal of the game and taking six marks in the first quarter. The form remained for the entirety of the contest. Cloke finished with three goals and sent the ball inside 50 on seven occasions.

25. Jack Crisp
Statistics: 13 kicks, 7 handballs, 20 disposals, 6 inside 50s, 2 goals.
The multi-dimensional Crisp continues to provide standout performances on a weekly level. His ability to play a negating role while continuing to win his own ball was again on show against the Tigers as he gathered 20 possessions and sent the ball inside 50 on five occasions. He also kicked two third-quarter goals to maintain an average of one goal per game this season.

26. Marley Williams
Statistics: 11 kicks, 8 handballs, 19 disposals, 4 tackles, 4 rebound 50s.
Williams’ attack on the ball continued to prove a strong point of his game as he was once again at his uncompromising best against the Tigers. While he showed an intimidating presence as a defender, he was equally influential with the ball in hand. His 19 disposals and four rebound 50s allowed Collingwood to generate solid transition into the forward line.
