High-flying defender Jeremy Howe will return to the side three months after breaking his arm in Collingwood’s Round One clash against Geelong.

The 32-year-old has been participating in full contact training for over a month after a lengthy journey through rehab.

Jamie Elliott also returns for the first time since Collingwood's Round 11 clash against North Melbourne.

Billy Frampton, Beau McCreery, and Reef McInnes have been omitted.

On Howe, Senior Coach Craig McRae said:

“Howie will play,” McRae told SEN’s The Run Home.

“He’s missed a lot of footy, but again rewarding our staff, our rehab team are incredible … they do a great job getting these guys ready, they do a power of work.

“He has missed time, but Howie has trained for a month football-wise, and he’s done about 10 weeks of running, he's as fit as you could imagine. Fitness won’t be an issue.”

The four emergencies are Billy Frampton, Finlay Macrae, Beau McCreery, and Jack Ginnivan.

The substitute will be confirmed 60 minutes prior to the first bounce on Sunday afternoon.
