Who’s in the team?
Our VFL list is divided into two categories: Primary and Development. Primary Listed players are players available on the open market. Development listed players must be under the age of 22 as of January 1, 2023. This list is designed to strengthen connection between the VFL and Coates Talent League.
In total, there are 25 players on the Collingwood VFL list for 2023. In addition, there are also four train-on players, who are invited to train with the team and are eligible for elevation to the list.
Primary list: Campbell Lane, Vivian Blackmore-Moore, Sam Glover, Lachlan Tardrew, Jacob Booth, Neville Jetta, Campbell Hustwaite, Tom Wilson, Jake Long, Josh Eyre, Ben Silvagni, Edward Delaney, Liam Purcell.
Development list: Kaden Schreiber, Jedd Longmire, Jonathan Tomasiello, Rye Penny, Jack Raines, Cobi Maxted, Chad Mulvogue, Harry Flynn, Zachary Greeves, Jovan Petric, Riley Voulanas, Yu Yu Ashwin.
Train on players: Billy Kolyniuk, Ben Quaynor, Andreas Stefanakis, Sam Hilton-Joyce.
What about the Coach?
Former Collingwood Ruckman Josh Fraser will combine his role as Head of Development with the responsibility of VFL Coach for season 2023.
Fraser will be well supported by Assistant Coaches Andy Otten, Harmit Singh, Neville Jetta (playing assistant), Tom Wilson (Playing assistant), and Chloe McMillan, who is a part of the AFL’s Women’s Coach Acceleration Program.

Who will lead the team?
Co-Captains Lachlan Tardrew and Campbell Hustwaite will lead the side for another campaign in 2023. This is the third year the duo has taken the reigns.
The wider leadership group includes Campbell Lane, Sam Glover, Kaden Schreiber & Jedd Longmire, supported by Tom Wilson.
Who do we play?
The VFL Premiership season comprises 21 teams: Box Hill Hawks, Brisbane Lions, Carlton, Casey Demons, Coburg Lions, Collingwood, Essendon, Footscray Bulldogs, Frankston, Geelong, Gold Coast Suns, GWS Giants, Northern Bullants, North Melbourne, Port Melbourne, Richmond, Sandringham Zebras, Southport, Sydney Swans, Werribee Tigers, Williamstown.
The Pies will kick off their 2023 campaign at Victoria Park, against Coburg at 11.05am on Saturday.
Collingwood last met Coburg in Round 6 last season, which saw the Pies come out winners by 104 points.

You can watch every live and free on afl.com.au and the AFL Live Official App, with select games to be aired live on Channel 7.
Can I attend?
YES! Entry is free to all VFL games, except for AFL double headers. Come along and support the Club.
How are the team placed?
The team will enter Round 1 with confidence after a six-point victory against Geelong in their practice match at the AIA Vitality Centre last Sunday.
After finishing sixth overall in 2022, the team will be looking to go deeper into the season in 2023.
