It was another closely fought Collingwood match on Thursday evening in Launceston.
All four of our new recruits were on show, with Tom Mitchell, Dan McStay, Bobby Hill and Billy Frampton all playing out the game. Oleg Markov also donned the black and white stripes for the first time after recently joining the club in the Supplementary Selection Period.
In what was a high scoring affair, the boys demonstrated a strong ability to get the ball forward and through the big sticks. McStay was particularly prevalent early, with two first quarter goals. Jordan De Goey also started well with ten first quarter disposals before finishing the game with 11 score involvements, including 13 inside 50's.
Taylor Adams had a really strong performance, kicking multiple goals for just the 7th time in his career. He also had a game-high nine clearances to go with his 22 disposals.
New Captain Darcy Moore was prominent all evening with his intercepting a stand out - ten for the game.
Fan favourite Bobby Hill had some electric moments, showing off his speed and agility on multiple occasions. He kicked a nice goal in the third quarter and was involved in several scores.
It's great to see the continued emergence of Josh Daicos as one of the leagues best wingmen. His ability to gain territory was particularly noticeable. With 638 meters gained, 28 disposals and a goal to his name, Josh was up there with the best afield.
Other notable performances include Jack Crisp (24 disposals) and Pat Lipinski (22 disposals, two goals).
Unfortunately, Pat Lipinski has suffered a dislocation of his left shoulder. He will have an MRI and be assessed with the Club to provide a further update in due course.
