Seventeen players return to the squad after a successful 2022 season, with the remaining 20 players new to the club.

2022 best and fairest award winner Matilda Zander is amongst the returnees, alongside runner up Katie Lee and second runner up Elizabeth Jackson, and foundation players Sarah King and Nicole Hales.

Former Western Bulldogs VFLW captain Riley Christgoergl also joins the Pies fray, while 2022 SANFL Women's Best and Fairest winner Jess Bates makes the move from South Australia.

Commencing on the weekend of March 25-26, the 2023 VFLW season start will coincide with the beginning of the VFL season and Round 2 of the AFL season.

The 2023 fixture was confirmed earlier this week, with Collingwood to kick off its season against Williamstown on Saturday March 25, 3pm at Victoria Park.

All matches in the 2023 rebel VFLW season will be live streamed free via the AFL website (AFL.com.au) and AFL Live Official App.

The 2023 leadership group will be finalised in the coming weeks.

Collingwood announced its 2023 VFLW coaching panel in December, with Senior Coach Chloe McMillan set to lead the program for a fourth consecutive season and three additional assistant coaches on board.
