“The player we can't afford to have unfit” - Coin_Toss?

I thought to myself who we missed on Monday, Ben Johnson came to mind. In fact I will go as far as to say we can’t win a premiership without him this year. It was the second time Johnno was missed this year, ironically, in round 2 against Melbourne when he went off in the second quarter and we lacked any drive for the rest of the day. It was the same old again on Monday.
All the talk about Barham, he should have been freed up to play this role off half-back, trust me he would have been the man, instead of being assigned to one of the quickest players in the comp.??

There are only 5 we absolutely "need";
* Didak
* Swan
* Pendlebury
* Jolly
* Shaw
We have others we "want" fit each week, but time and these players absence have shown we "need" these 5 or we simply are not a top team.
EXAMPLES;
* Prelim last year; No ruckman of note, No Pendles, No Swan (virtually), NO HOPE.
* Monday vs Dees; Didak pulls out last minute, and we kick 9.22, NOT A COINCIDENCE.
Didak provides us with the most skillful, direct and accurate entries into 50 bar none.
Shaw provides us with the all-important run off half back, and there's also no surprise we have struggled whenever he gets tagged or has a bad game.
Jolly is the only reliable ruckman we have on the list.
Pendlebury is the class in that midfield full of "goers".
Swan WELL, HE'S DANE SWAN.
There are others we desperately want out there, but the promising thing is some "youngsters" may soon be on the "need" list;
* Dick
* Reid
* Thomas? ?

Game we MUST win. Need to stop the rot. Playing against a side that we've had the wood over for five years. The team isn't as good as the teams we've beaten in previous years and our team is arguably better than the teams that have dominated them since 2005.
Our season sits on a knife's edge. If we lose this game, it could send us in a downward spiral. Take out the West Coast game next week and we've got a tough run.
This is four points we need in the bank. Last week's effort wasn't good enough, nor was the fadeout against the Lions.?
Our form in the past month is scratchy at best, winning one, drawing one and losing two.
Time to stand up and be counted. The Saints are making their move, the Bulldogs have their yap back with Johnno and Murphy back... we can't afford to slip up at all.
That foot on the throat mentality that saw us obliterate sides over a five week period needs to return.

With their forward press. If we can somehow recapture our version of this game plan (which re used rds 4-8), Sydney might struggle to cope. The 1 rider is this is Sydney's GF. They are leaving out the kids (Jetta, Rohan and Heath) and bringing back Shaw, Kennelly and Bradshaw. They want this one badly. How badly do Collingwood want it?
