We asked Billy a few hard hitting questions on his first day at the club. Get to know our new recruit.
Who are you moving to Melbourne with?
"I'm moving here with my partner Sydney and we have a one-year-old Australian Shepherd, Moose."
Of your two former clubs (Port Adelaide and Adelaide) which club song do you prefer?
"This is hard one, I grew up a Crows fan so that's one of my favourites... but Port's is really catchy as well. I think Port's might be better."
Who is your dream dinner party guest?
"I'm a big LeBron stan, he'd be the one."
Which team did you support growing up?
"My dad moved over from England just as the Crows joined the AFL and he jumped on board - I had no choice. I lived in Perth but I was always an Adelaide supporter."
Favourite music genre?
"Hiphop and rap are my two favourites."
What did you love about where you grew up?
"I grew up just outside Fremantle, I lived there my whole life. I loved everything there and especially being close to the water - the beaches in Perth are unbelievable and the weather is perfect."
Who is your all time favourite AFL player?
"Andrew McLeod is my all time favourite, he was a Crows superstar and I absolutely loved him. I'm a big footy fan - today my favourites are Fyfe and Buddy."
What excites you the most about playing for Collingwood?
"Playing for such a massive fan base is something I haven't experienced. I'm really looking forward to that. Craig has the group flying too and it's a really exciting team."
Any guilty pleasures?
"I don't mind rom com movies, I enjoy watching them with my partner. I like Notting Hill. I like gaming too, I'm playing NBA 2K at the moment but Call Of Duty has been the one... I go pretty hard."
Best advice you ever received from a junior footy coach?
"Probably just 'how you train is how you play', pretty basic but it's true. It took me a while to figure it out but it all comes back to how you train."
