Collingwood's 2018 campaign began in earnest when its crop of youngsters - and a handful of senior teammates - returned for the pre-season on Wednesday morning.

All players with between one and four years of senior experience were required to attend, while captain Scott Pendlebury and prime movers Taylor Adams and Adam Treloar made sure they weren't light on for pre-season experience.

There was certainly a hint of something new in the Holden Centre corridors:

And a familiar face returned to greet some old (and new) friends. You may recall Nick Maxwell as the man who held the premiership cup aloft on Grand Final day in 2010. Now, as we approach 2018, he is the club's Leadership and Culture Manager. Photo: Collingwood Media.

Supporters will also notice a new-look on all things Collingwood. The club's new logo is now rolling out across signage, uniforms and more. Photo: Collingwood Media.
