Senior coach Craig Mcrae spoke to the media on Friday morning ahead of the club's trip to Sydney for round 22.

Fly was asked about team selection leading into the first game amidst some concerns around the health of some players during the week.

"We're ready to go, there'll be no excuses around our fit players...ready to tackle the Swans."

"There'll be minimal changes at this stage, we've still got a bit of match committee to play out. It's a nice place to be when most players are fit and well."

Fly noted that Sydney have been in strong form recently, and have plenty of strengths.

"They're a very good team, you don't sit fourth on the ladder by fluke. The way they move the footy, the way they defend really well, they've got a lot of weapons through the middle of the ground."

After 11 wins in a row, Fly was asked about the energy within the group and the mindset leading into the final part of the season.

"I don't find it that difficult to stay in the moment to be honest, we're a very process driven group."

"After the game we enjoyed the moment, connected with our fans. As soon as Monday hits we're back in here and get to work...we're just trying to get better."

"We've got a lot to work on, we had a lot of things on the weekend that didn't go our way and we've got to prepare for good opposition."

Midfielder Taylor Adams has been working his way back to fitness after a groin setback a couple of weeks ago.

"He's on track to return for the first final, that was always the plan and he's had no set backs around that. He looks quite energetic and looks like he's improving day by day."

Asked to reflect on the year so far, Fly had high praises for his coaching group and Head of High Performance Jarrod Wade, noting their significant impacts on the season.

"Each week you see the group improve and grow. I think the coaching group, and Jarrod Wade should get a lot of credit for what's been and what is. Watching the group improve in their standards, that's been significant, and watching the group improve in their fundamentals, that's been significant."

"Just seeing them grow day by day and week by week, that's been very pleasing to date."

"Early days I said we've got to learn how to try and win."

"Winning can be a habit, and the wining behaviours can definitely be habit. We're trying to create many of those."

"We are a work in progress, we haven't played a final yet. You'd like to think in dry conditions, wet conditions, windy, we play a certain style. It's an exciting brand to watch and we'll certainly want to continue to improve this week against good opposition."

After being ruled out for the season, Fly spoke to how the group are supporting star ruckman Brodie Grundy.

"We're just trying to support him"

"We just worry about what we can control in this time."

With AFL, AFLW and VFL all partaking in games in Sydney this weekend, Fly spoke to how the club is looking forward to a one-club vibe this weekend.

"The whole club's going up there [Sydney]. It's an exciting thing to have the AFL Women play, first time that we're going to be playing at the same time. This one's not for premiership points but we're getting close to that."

"There's a bit of a buzz around the place."
