After being recruited to the club in the mid-season draft, Josh Carmichael will play his first game of AFL against North Melbourne this weekend. 

Carmichael was selected with Collingwood's selection in the 2022 NAB Mid-season draft. 

The 22-year-old graduated from country football in the Sunraysia league to the SANFL with West Adelaide.

A powerful midfielder, Carmichael has impressed in the VFL since coming to the Pies. In his three VFL games, he's averaged 24 disposals.

Josh is a great character, and has shown in his short time at the club that he is ready to do what it takes to make it at the elite level.
