A delisted free agent from Richmond, Sansonetti was drafted by the Tigers with pick 40 at the 2019 NAB AFLW Draft.
The 20-year-old made 17 appearances in the yellow and black across three seasons and also spent time with the club’s VFLW affiliate side, Port Melbourne.
Standing 172cm tall, Sansonetti followed the Victorian football pathway through her juniors, representing Vic Metro at the 2019 U/18 championships while also playing for the Northern Knights in the NAB League that same year.
Collingwood Head of Women’s Football Jess Burger said she is looking forward to watching Sansonetti’s development in the black and white.
“As a good utility, Sarah has the ability to play both tall and small,” Burger said.
“She has untouched potential and we look forward to being a part of her next journey as a Magpie and assisting in her development in our environment.”
Today’s signing settles Collingwood’s list for the upcoming AFLW season.
The club will hold picks 30, 57 and 89 in the NAB AFLW Draft on June 29.
