Over the course of the Sir Doug Nicholls rounds, the player's Player of the Week will be awarded with a specially designed MarnGrook. This award is voted by the players each week, generally voted upon based on who best encapsulated the team's values during the game.

Against Fremantle, Darcy Cameron was voted as the player's Player and was awarded with his MarnGrook in Friday's team meeting.

The balls, designed by Ricky Kildea (Dja Dja Wurrung) were painted thanks to a close connection with Collingwood development coach Neville Jetta.

The first piece of artwork represents the individual journeys of each player at the Collingwood Football Club.

The large circles that the footsteps (journey tracks) go through represent family, community and the Collingwood Football Club. This acknowledges the journey of each player to get to the football club. The smaller circles over the football represent the important people that have contributed to the journey and the significant meeting places along the way.

The 'U' symbols and line work designed on the larger circle on the back of the football pays respect to Elders past, present and future.

The artwork includes 17 'iln' symbols to represent the 17 Indigenous footballers who have played for Collingwood, recognising their contribution to the club and their own personal journeys.

They have left their mark on the club and will always have a home at the Collingwood Football Club.

The feather design is aligned with the theme of the 2022 Indigenous jumper, with the club entering a new chapter and making way for the next generation.

Each feather symbolises a future player who will play for the club and create their own mark and story.

The black designs over the ball represents the importance of a strong connection to Country and the relationship with the club and the local Community.
