Last time we met
Carlton 91 d Collingwood 62 (Round 18, 2021)
The Blues dominated the final term, kicking six goals and holding the Pies to just three behinds in an otherwise tightly-fought contest. Jordan De Goey gathered 31 disposals for eight score involvements and Oliver Henry kicked three goals.
Key match-ups
Darcy Moore v Charlie Curnow
Moore recorded a career-high 15 spoils and six intercepts against Fremantle last week, keeping Matt Taberner scoreless and disrupting the Dockers' ball movement all afternoon. Curnow is atop the Coleman Medal leaderboard after he kicked six goals in round 10. He dominated one-on-one contests against the Swans last week and is in career-best form.
Taylor Adams v Patrick Cripps
Adams led from the front in our stirring win over Freo, making a season-high nine tackles and finishing with five clearances and three score involvements. It will take another standout performance to match it with Cripps in the middle. One of the league's elite ball winners, Cripps is averaging seven clearances and 27 disposals a game this year.
Look out for
Belief and optimism have been among Craig McRae's constant refrains this season and his young group will carry both into Sunday's match. The 5-5 Pies can match it with the best and they proved it on the road against a true contender in Fremantle. Expect Collingwood to play with renewed confidence.
