Nathan Kreuger will make his Collingwood debut on Saturday in only his third game at the top level.
The 22-year-old arrived at the Pies after three seasons with Geelong, making his AFL debut in round 20 last year.
Agile and athletic, Kreuger is a strong mark and at 196cm he will be an imposing target up forward.
"We couldn't be more rapt with the way he's gone about it," head coach Craig McRae said of Kreuger's first six months at the club.
"The hunger and the want to get an opportunity - this guy is 100 percent in.
"You know what effort you're going to get from him, he will give his all."
