With the season kicking off in a week’s time, the team will be out in full force.

Collingwood will see a handful of AFL listed players run out in the practice match.

Brayden Maynard will be able to play in the practice match regardless of his two-week suspension in the AFL.

Craig McRae is capitalising on Maynard's missed opportunities in the AFL, saying "we want to get Brayden through the midfield more than what we had planned in the preseason".

"Here is a chance to play him a bit more in the midfield so I'm looking for more of what we can do instead of what we lost", McRae said.

The likes of Callum Brown, Darcy Cameron and Caleb Poulter will look to prove themselves as competition for spots in the senior side are tough in the early stage of the AFL season.

Collingwood are coming off a win against Essendon in a practice match last weekend which saw them come out on top 69 to 54.
