Collingwood defender Charlie Dean has had a start to his debut season with the Magpies put on hold by a foot injury.

Scans yesterday revealed a fracture in a bone in his foot. The 20 year-old will see a specialist in coming days.

“We will know more once Charlie has seen the specialist but we are expecting that his recovery will keep him out of the selection frame for a number of weeks,” Collingwood GM of Football, Graham Wright, said.

Dean was selected in the 2021 rookie draft after a standout season with Williamstown in the VFL.
