Collingwood CEO Mark Anderson said the club was pleased with the draw.
“There is a lot to be excited about with the 2022 draw, the first being back-to-back home games in rounds two, three and four,” Anderson said.
“We have all missed having our members and the fans at our matches and particularly at our home the MCG. All of our players have mentioned how they’ve missed the passion and noise that our fans create.
“We greatly appreciate our members and supporters standing by us during the tough times presented by COVID-19. We look forward to welcoming them back to their seats at the MCG to cheer on our team.

“Even with only nine matches announced in full, we are delighted as a club and for our members to feature in some big matches in prime timeslots.
“Mid-way through the season we are delighted to be hosting the Queen’s birthday match against Melbourne and continue our joint support of Neale Daniher’s Fight MND campaign.
“Today’s fixture greatly supports a return of Collingwood fans to our great Melbourne sporting precinct, and with the optimism that is spreading I am confident our members and supporters will be looking forward to season 2022.”
