Swan back in full training
The Herald Sun reports that Dane Swan is back in full training following post-season surgery on his hip.
Jay Clark says Swan re-joined the main training group on Monday after following a modified training program over the summer in an attempt to regain the fitness levels that saw him feature in five consecutive All-Australian teams between 2009 and 2013.
“Dane is training very well,” Director of Football Neil Balme told Collingwood TV last week.
“He has had a fair bit of surgery post-season, so what we are doing is working to get him to a position of fitness where he can play. He is training virtually every day and training very hard.”
“Levi Greenwood is also back in full training,” Clark continued, “after making a full recovery from some shin soreness that troubled him at times last season.”
Collingwood to recruit apple Pies
The Age’s Jon Pierik examined Collingwood’s prospects of increasing its number of Tasmanian members after announcing a new package known as the Tasmanian Magpie Insider.
Supporters who sign up as Tasmanian Magpie Insider will receive access to purchase tickets to the match in Launceston via a member pre-sale on 28 January.
"We have a sizeable number of Tasmanian supporters, many of whom are already members," a Collingwood spokesman told The Age.

"The hope is we will bring many more existing fans into the family. We have offered an insider membership before.
“The difference this year is that we are playing a match on their turf."
Adams wants more
Ben Guthrie of AFL Media caught up with midfielder Taylor Adams earlier this week.
Adams told Guthrie he is ready to help step up and fill the midfield breach following the departures of Luke Ball and Dayne Beams.
"It comes with confidence. I've had a pretty good pre-season and I know the game-plan and I know where I want the club to go," Adams said.
"If I think something's wrong, then I'm not afraid to speak up and say something."
