Collingwood has returned South Australian draftee Tim Broomhead onto its senior list.

The 19-year-old was placed on the club's long-term injury list on the eve of the home and away season after suffering from glandular fever.

Mature age Sam Dwyer, the man who replaced Broomhead back in March, will remain on the senior list as Alan Toovey has now been formally shifted onto the long-term injury list.

Toovey ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament on ANZAC Day and will miss the remainder of the 2013 season.

Broomhead is a skillful midfielder who was recruited to Collingwood with its third selection (No. 20 overall) in last November's National Draft.

He played the majority of his junior football with Port Districts and managed 10 senior games on the wing for the Port Adelaide Magpies at SANFL level last year.
