The oval was officially christened by a host of Collingwood names including Scott Pendlebury, Harry O'Brien, Peter McKenna, Craig Kelly and Eddie McGuire as well as State Government and Melbourne Olympic Park Trust dignitaries who joined several young Magpie fans to kick the first goal on the ground.
