ADELAIDE has reached its first NAB Cup Grand Final since 2008, after a 13 goals to two second half saw them knock off a young Collingwood side by 77-points at AAMI Stadium on Friday night.

The Magpies fielded a side that included 12 players yet to notch a regular-season AFL game.

Peter Yagmoor was lively in defence while first-gamer Jamie Elliott showed class through to midfield in the first half before he was subbed off.

Taylor Walker opened his account early in the second quarter and the game looked to be firmly in Adelaide's grasp when Porplyzia, Tippett and Dangerfield all converted.

But an Alex Fasolo steadier and wasted opportunities from the Crows kept the Magpies within reach.

Walker added his second after the half-time siren to put the hosts eight-points up at the main break.

While Scott Pendlebury, Steele Sidebottom and Dane Swan were all finding the ball and Harry O'Brien was rebounding well out of defence, the Crows controlled possession and subsequently the match.

The flood gates opened in the last, with Adelaide booting eight goals, including a monster super goal from Matthew Jaensch, while keeping the Magpies to just two behinds.

Collingwood will take on St Kilda next week in the final round of the AFL's preseason competition.
